I learned my trade the old-fashioned way, completing an Advanced 4-year London City & Guilds course in Decorative Finishes in 1984. I still work to those same high standards - filling and sanding thoroughly between coats; 2 undercoats as standard, cleaning off with tacky rags, working cleanly, quickly and paying attention to detail. Hand-painted kitchens and furniture a speciality.
